The Role:

This job is based out of our Newcastle Branch – NE31 1SP and looks to support the efficient and safe operation of the timber production area by accurately processing raw timber stock and producing finished components to the required quality standards.

Role Overview:

• Feed raw timber stock into machinery including the 6-headed moulder, bandsaw, and multi-rip saw, ensuring safe and correct operation.
• Operate saws such as cross-cut and mitre saws to cut timber to specified lengths in line with job requirements.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively as part of daily production tasks.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team to stack machined timber neatly and safely.
• Accurately complete job cards and other documentation to record daily production data.
• Perform basic quality checks to ensure all finished products meet company and customer standards.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in accordance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Assist with other production duties as directed by supervisors to support the smooth running of operations.
• Follow all standard operating procedures and company policies consistently to maintain production efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a timber, woodworking, or manufacturing environment
• Ability to safely operate machinery such as moulders, bandsaws, and other cutting equipment
• Competence in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, job sheets, and specifications accurately
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to assist with various production tasks as required

What We Offer:

• Monday – Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-13:30
• From £12.21 per hour
