The Role:
This job is based out of our Bedford HQ/Branch – MK41 0LF, and seeks to coordinate between technical, production, and warehouse functions to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Role Overview:
Administrative Support
- Provide administrative support to the Technical Supervisor and Carpentry Department, including documentation, records, and reporting.
- Assist with the administration of prototype projects, ad hoc manufacturing tasks, and departmental activities.
- Maintain accurate records relating to projects, materials, and production activity.
Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Act as the departmental stock controller, maintaining accurate records of materials, components, and finished goods.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Assist with stock checks, audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Support the management of new and existing materials used within the department.
Movement of Goods
- Coordinate and record the movement of goods into, within, and out of the Carpentry Department.
- Ensure materials and finished items are correctly booked in, labelled, and stored.
- Support the timely transfer of goods between departments and locations in line with project and production requirements.
Operational & Departmental Support
- Support the smooth running of the Carpentry Department by liaising with Design, Production, and Warehouse teams.
- Assist with the preparation of materials and documentation for prototypes and manufacturing projects.
- Ensure departmental processes align with company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
Health & Safety & Housekeeping
- Support the maintenance of a safe, organised, and compliant working environment within the department.
- Ensure records and documentation support Health & Safety and quality standards.
What We Offer:
- Monday – Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30 – 13:30
- £26,437 per annum starting salary
- 29 days holiday including bank holidays
