Job description
We are looking for a Data Entry Clerk to join us in our mission of delivering quality outdoor products such as log cabins, garden offices, sheds and gazebos designed with care, built to last, and made to make our customers smile!
Who We Are:
Established in 1994, Dunster House Ltd is a proud, family-run business that’s continuing to grow and evolve. This year alone, we’ve expanded even further — opening four new sites and now employing over 600 amazing people across 15 locations across the UK.
For more than 30 years, we’ve been passionate about designing, manufacturing, and retailing quality garden lifestyle products that help our customers make the most of their outdoor spaces. As garden building specialists, we’re proud to deliver our products directly to our customers using our very own fleet, ensuring care and quality every step of the way.

Job Purpose:
To accurately time manufacturing processes (we’ll teach you how), and input the data and other costings related data into our Excel based pricing spreadsheets (you need some but not a lot of knowledge of Excel) on an ongoing basis to keep our costs information and manufacturing timing processes information up to date across a number of sites. You’ll be working directly for our Pricing Manager who has learnt Excel and created these pricing sheets over the last two years and now needs help in keeping the information up to date due to the number of products we offer and number of factories our family owns. There is an element of travel involved which keeps the job more interesting than simply data input, though ACCURATE data input is absolutely key to performing this role correctly.
This role is based out of Bedford HQ – MK41 0LF.
Role Overview:
- Accurately collect and record production processes timing data in line with Company timing principles.
- Carry out data entry tasks accurately.
- Use Excel, Word, and specialist software to process information.
- Maintain accurate costings data by liaising with managers and other staff from our many different factories to gather the information and then centrally input it.
- Meet deadlines while managing competing priorities effectively.
- Maintain confidentiality on commercially sensitive data.
Experience Desired:
- Previous experience in an administrative or data-focused role.
- Demonstrable experience of accurate data input and working to deadlines.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word in a work environment.
Essential Qualifications Required:
- Good general level of education, including literacy and numeracy skills.
- Some IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
Additional Information to Note
- The role requires travelling abroad for typically a week at a time (usually Monday to Friday) when such travel is undertaken. Typically, 3-5 weeks in a year as week long periods, and some shorter trips to English factories.
- Need to be willing to travel with colleagues to our family’s factories, currently: Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Scotland, and England.
- Pay Frequency: Monthly
What We Offer:
- Monday – Friday, 8:30-5:30, 40 hours a week
- £28,000 per annum starting salary
- 29 days holiday including bank holidays
- Referral Programme
